Sky One Pull Out of Priz 'Remake' « Result #4 on May 2, 2007, 6:58pm »
There has been a schism between Sky One and AMC over the new Prisoner mini series.
According to the Daily Telegraph, US Based AMC want American talent in the iconic role of Number Six, whereas Sky One wanted a recognisable British Face,
ITV Productions are producing (rather than financing) the current series, and fully expect a new backer to be announced shortly.

The Prisoner has been around the block from a terrestrail perspective. It was first shown on ITV precursor ATV but has since been seen on Channel 4, and on 'the other side' in the sense that it was part of BBC 4.
Once the new partner is announced, it will be posted here

I like DC myself, I think providing the scripts & the production of the future films are of as high quality as 'Casino Royale', he could over-take Sean Connery as the 007.
For the record, Moore is actually my favourite Bond.

McGoohan starred in the following Columbo episodes: By Dawn's Early Light, Identity Crisis, Agenda For Murder, Ashes To Ashes and McGoohan directed Last Salute To The Commordore.
They have mutual respect for each other.
I read biographies by the dozen and Falk's is top of my list.
